Moxa proudly introduces the MC-4510-C23 Master Series - First-class Marine-Computers

Release Date : 2010-5-3

Taipei, Taiwan, May 3rd, 2010—Moxa is proud to release the MC-4510-C23 Master Series, a family of first-class marine-grade computers. The MC-4510-C23 Master Series is specifically designed to provide a perfect combination of high performance and reliability for marine bridge systems.

Nowadays maritime systems use modern Ethernet networks to create the network backbone and distributed independent sub-systems for local monitoring and control. Moxa supports these types of architectures with Ethernet switches, devices for data acquisition, and embedded computers. Moxa, as a leading complete solution provider, is dedicated to providing the latest and most up-to-date solutions based on the needs of customers and partners. The MC-4510-C23 Master series is the latest manifestation of this commitment, and is specifically designed for marine applications. Bridge Systems that Are Stronger Than Ever—Compact and Rugged Design

The MC-4510-C23 Master Series is tailored for the reliability needs of bridge systems. Moxa’s unique hard disk drive socket design offers extraordinary anti-vibration and anti-shock protection to deliver the reliable operations that marine applications require. Moreover, an elegant heat-dissipating fanless design reduces the risks of over-heating and increases system stability, while the compact and rugged construction makes bridge systems easier to deploy and stronger than ever.

Speed Up Your Bridge Systems—Extreme Performance that Surpasses Existing Marine Requirements

Bridge systems usually require speedy multi-tasking, and that is why Moxa Master Series computer features an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU with 2.26 GHz, 6MB L2 cache and up to 4 GB of DDR3 support. This level of performance is rarely seen in fanless computers.

The Master Series also features two Gigabit Ethernet ports for fast and reliable integration into the network and six USB ports for key peripherals or for maintenance. The two serial ports are optically isolated and, as usual for Moxa computers, they can be software-toggled between RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 mode to connect to critical information devices like GPS which have not yet been integrated with the Ethernet network.

Raise Your Expectations—System Flexibility that Fulfills Your Needs

The Master Series does not only offer very high performance in a rugged and reliable system, but it also offers high flexibility in a compact space-saving box.

The MC-4510 offers both DVI-D and VGA signal output for dual independent displays, and the onboard mini PCIe slot allows for further expansion. For storage expansion, the MC-4510 has two SATA interfaces and one CompactFlash card socket for large permanent data storage.

Expect  More—IEC 60945 4th, DNV, and E-10 Certifications

It takes more than a data sheet stuffed with features to succeed in a maritime environment. The product must also be proven to survive in this very demanding environment by rigorous independent testing. The MC-4510 Master Series computers have been certified compliant with IEC 60945 4th edition, DNV, and E-10 standards. Ship builders, operators, and their system integrators can confidently submit their complete systems for certification approval by building upon a firm foundation of already-approved Moxa products.
